Local History and Favorites Stored Locally
When you scan a barcode or mark a code as a favorite, that information is saved exclusively inside an encrypted local database on your phone. We do not utilize cloud syncing, we do not require user accounts, and we have zero access to your scan logs.
Camera Permission
We only ask for one mandatory permission: the Camera. This hardware access is strictly required to capture the video feed necessary for decoding physical QR codes. We do not record video or capture background audio.
Gallery Permission
Accessing your device storage is entirely optional. We only request Gallery permission if you explicitly attempt to save a generated QR code image, or if you use the 'Scan from Image' feature to read a screenshot.
Ads and Third-Party SDKs
To keep the application free and continuously updated, we utilize Google AdMob to display advertisements. These third-party SDKs operate under strict privacy compliance (such as GDPR and CCPA) and will respect your device-level tracking consent choices.
User Controls
You retain total ownership over your data. You can wipe your entire scan history, delete individual records, or clear your favorites directly from within the app at any time with a single tap.
